Clutch Replacement Questions
I have a 95 Del Sol Si and I want to change the Clutch but I want to order the correct parts from the dealer, I am changing Pressure Plate, Clutch Disk, Pilot Bearing and Release Bearing. I was looking online and they VARY, How do I know to Order the Correct Parts.
I'd go with a clutchmasters stage 1. They are only $310 shipped from nopi. "OEM Spec" clutches suck. The only ones worth while are the ones from Honda, only because they last forever but you will get charged out of the *** for one. CM's stage 1 grab well, last a while, OEM pedal feel...and aren't too expensive either
You wouldn't recommend a ACT or Exedy? I am buying an Exedy for 99+shipping....the whole set...pressure plate, throwout, clutch disk. I am also doing a basic resurface of my flywheel....cuz It looks like it needs it.
those $99 clutches are only oem replacements .. nothing special..i would spend the extra cash and go with an ACT they grab awesome.. and you will be able to work your motor and not have to worry much about your clutch slipping.. after maket is the way to go
usually the exedy units going for $99 +shipping are the OEM replacements... i got mine from clutchcityonline.com ... oem replacement exedy clutch....
replaced it one month later for a centerforce unit... i highly suggest an aftermarket unit (exedy/act/centerforce/etc, etc.) with higher clamping/load capabilities
