My friends '93 LX needs a new ignition cylinder. She was quoted $120 for a new assembly w/a dealer discount. (she works for a local VW/Mazda dealership) I offered to help her source parts and do the labor. How complicated is it to replace the unit and does anybody have any info. on doing this? Can I use a cylinder from another year or model (prelude, etc.)

Anybody got one w/a key???

the lock cylinder I'm pretty sure. I havent gotten a chance to look at yet but a tech. from her work told her she needed a new ignition cylinder.
