Launch RPM

ive got a 94 civic ex whats the best rpm for a launch? i know if i launch too high it can destroy the tranny and if its too low well car goes slow.

depends on your mods...anywhere from 2500 to 3500 should be ok

launch in 500 rpm intervals.....practice on a lonely back street with fairly good road consitions. Also, 10% wheel spin is the ultimate goal per shift.

heh we got lots of those, thats where the illegals are held, in the middle of nowhere they paved like 3 miles of 2 lane road. totally flat.

I get pretty good starts at around 3-3500. It's true, you don't want a lot of wheel spin like the other guy said.
