base RSX, wanna lower it. any advice?
Just bought an 03 RSX base model. Love it. Wanna lower it so it looks and handles better. i wanna maintain a good ride though cause i do a lot of driving. Preferably as close to stock ride quality as possible. Any advice on what would be the best way to go?
I wouldn't pair up the Stock (suck) struts with a set of Tein springs...Mine looks great but damn, It can get a little bouncy on these NC highways.
Save your bones and get the Mugen susp kit.

Depends how much you are willing to spend.. I went with cheap route. Tein s tech springs on stock shocks. Rides excellent . cant complain.
i'v had that same question for a couple weeks know
i ordered the mugen suspension from kingmotorsports.com
im gettin it put in weds
if i were u i would get that since ur like me and arent gonna be doin
alot of racing, so u dont need expensive coilovers
and in my opinion i wouldnt just get springs and put em on the stock shocks
u'll ruin em the shocks

if you got the bucks, get the mugen. only negative is weight, otherwise no complaints here. after it's dropped you'll think "this is how it should've come from the factory". very bearable for daily driving. rides slightly firmer and less bouncy in the rear than stock. basic swap-out. showa (factory) quality should last as long as stock. no uppermount or creaking problems. note, although the rear camber is supposed to remain within specs without a rear camber kit, mine didn't. you may want to get a rear camber kit so you align the car just once after the suspension is installed. i had to do the rear alignment twice after finding out my rear was out of spec and installing a rear camber kit. I bought mine from a member named "mike m" of IPSracing. not sure if he's still selling them or not. after that get a JDM type-r rear swaybar and it should be a good set up for street. well sorry this was so long, peace.

thanks for the input guys. from what people are sayin mugen or eibach is the way to go. with eibach the 1.25 inch drop would be perfect. i drove a lifted truck for 5 years before so i dont wanna be too low (still hit driveways a lil quick). but if mugen offers somethin in those specs then sweet. only thing i gotta worry about now is wether i'll need a camber kit or not. thanks guys, peace.
Like others have said, go Mugen if you have the money. If you're going to stay with stock struts, get springs with a low springrate so that you can avoid the bouncy ride (your stock shocks will last longer too). Goldlines are the way to go with stock shocks IMO.
I own a RSX and drove a car with the mugen shocks and springs. in my opinon. very nice setup. But if you want to go racing and street driving I recommend the Tein Type Flex. I will be getting them soon. You can set it up to have a soft or hard ride.
