Default obd1 d16z6 into a ef dx

Ok i had my car stolen and a bought a 91 civic dx hatch from a friend for real cheap . I want to swap over my engine/trans/ecu/harness over to my hatch now for a future turbo drag car/weekend car. What will i need to do? I heard from a friend that the engine should bolt up pretty easily. I just have never done any sort of motor swaps and i'm not too fimiliar with obd0 to obd1 conversions. Does anyone have any websites that could help me out? thanks.

You will need to reuse the cable tranny that's in the car or get the HASport EF hydro tranny mount and conversion. You will need to convert the existing DPFI harness to MPFI and adapt it to the motor. The Z6 harness will only be good for salvaging needed plugs and wiring, it can't be used in the car. You will need to get an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion harness and do some wiring, other than that you shouldn't have any issues.

Ok, so i have to use the harness in the the car now and just modify it. Just wondering but why can't i just use my obd1 harness i have in my eg civic? I looked up the hasport mount kit and i couldn't find anything for a d-series. http://www.hasport.com/Tech/Hasport%20Swaps.htm thanks for the info

That's because the EF hydro kit was intended for a B series 94+ hydro tranny. But since those tranny's use the same upper mount and slave cylinder as the D series tranny on the Z6, you should be able to use the HASport conversion kit. Contact user "brian g" on here for more info. I'm sure he'll be able to tell you about the hydro conversion.
The Z6 harness is designed to work with the EG Civic chassis. The EF cabin harness is different both plug and wiring wise. The Z6 harness won't plug into the shock towers, it can only be salvaged like I mentioned. Take a look at the engine bays of both an EG and EF car and you'll notice an immediate difference in the plugs.

Has anyone confirmed this? Since you arent using the bseries, would the bolts line up exactly, or be slightly off?

Are you talking about the 92+ D series hydro tranny and using the HASport hydro kit? I was thinking about it the other day and I don't see why it wouldn't work. When you install a 94+ B series hydro tranny into an EG/EK, you can use the DC Integra upper tranny mount or the EG/EK upper tranny mount. So that would make the bolt pattern on the D and B series hydro tranny's the same. The slave cylinders are also interchangeable between those B and D tranny's, so it should make the engagement mechanism that the HASport kit has be interchangeable as well.
I am only saying that you would need the upper tranny mount and the clutch engagement mechanism, not the full mount kit. They sell the kits both ways. Like I said, talk to user "brian g" he works for HASport I'm imagine he would know for sure.
