so heres the thing, i just bought a 94 accord ex, and im looking for an engine swap, obviously the most common one is the h22, but i like to be different so i was wondering if there was any way i could put a k20a out of a 02 integra that this guy i know is selling, obviously the engine is smaller than the f22 and the h22, does that matter? hook me up with some answers, thanks guys

 

if you really got lots and lots of money and really want to be different forget about practical at all) sure you can do it. expect it to cost a shitload though....meaning you could probably drop a built h22a into your car for the same price(but much more power).

 

you're in for a world of pain

h22, h23, those are the only practical choices for a swap.

you drive a honda, no less an accord...you are by no means, "different"

 

well, what do you want out of your car, power and performance, or just to be different? If you want to be different, why not go with a 4G63 out of an eclipse, or a chevy 350 or even a F4ii CBR motor in it for that matter. Now thats just doing something to be different.

 

H22 swap or if you REALLY WANT TO BE DIFFERENT, K24 swap but I doubt that would work well since the enging is backwards compared to what is in your car now so you would end up swapping a tranny as well

 

if you want to be different - go for a tl typeS engine... or a cl typeS... those would be sick..

As of now...i don't think there are any mounting kits for the K into an accord (except for the new ones ) The best way to stand out w/ an accord is either have a fully built H22/H23/F22/F23...but then again, those have been done.
Honestly...theres no real way to be that different in the Honda world, but to be different, you gotta go outside the box

How about a Supra motor or RB26DETT??.....that would be interesting

 

it is possible
you would likely be one of, if not the first to do it
it will be difficult
You will have to fabricate motor mounts and do a lot of wireing work
it will be expensive unless you can do most of the work yourself
if you can't DIY, you'll have a hard time finding a shop to do it
you will need the RSX tranny as well

I don't know my K-series motor codes that well but if the k20a is the type-s motor, then the k20a swap will likely be about as fast as the much easier and less expensive h22 swap. if it's the base model motor w/160hp then it will not be as fast as a h22 swap.

but if you can get the motor for cheap, it is the type-S motor, you can do most of the work yourself, and are willing to be without a car for an extended period of time, go for it. I think it would be cool.

i wonder how well it would do though with the much less torque of the k20a though?
i dynoed my h22a wagon right after and rsx type-s.
i put down 175 hp and 152 ft/lbs...he put down 175 hp and 130 ft/lbs...
