Well I finally got my Kenwood Z828 deck installed. It's looks really good. I didn't use any kits or anything. Just took the orignal bracket used by stock deck; modified it to fit the new Kenwood unit. As for the cubby below the deck; I had a scanner installed there so it supported itself and I used some zip ties to give it additional hold so it wouldn't come flying out. I then took the front outter cover plate that came with the deck and put the rubber gasket that comes on the stock deck around that. That filled any gaps perfectly and it looks great now.
