It finally happened...got rearended
I didn't even leave my neighborhood yet and I get *slightly* rearended by a guy in a benz, probably was late to work. anyways, the damage isn't that bad but the bumper is kind of deformed/scrunched up around the license plate area and there is no way repainting it will fix that.
i want to buy a new 03 rear bumper. my question is, can i get one prepainted in GPW from the honda factory? if so, please give me details.
if not, is GPW an easy color to match? I want it to look perfect, so money is no issue.
btw im in the northern virginia area. there was a paintshop i heard about thats in chantilly or centreville, they do very good work. anyone know the name of that place? any other paintshop suggestions are welcome, i want a high quality paintjob.
thanks in advance.

I'll answer what I know.

No, only Honda accessories, ie lip, wing, etc..

It's not easy to color match but it can be done. You have an 03 right? The newer the car, the easier it is to match. Ever thought of getting the 04 bumper?
As for the VA body shop question, I'll let some locals tackle that one.
Good luck.
p.s. How's your neck?

Hey man don't fret. You work for a dealer right? Talk to them and see who they use to do their paintwork. The dealer I bought my S from down here in Texas set me up with an awesome paint shop. They fixed the cracking paint problem I had on my front driver's side fender and you can't even tell a difference. They repainted 1/2 of the fender and you can't tell where the old Silverstone starts and the new begins. I was thoroughly pleased especially since silver is one of the hardest colors to match. (this was warrantied by the way)
Goodluck man and hopefully your car will be all fixed soon!

It's easy for any paint place to match the color that's on your car. So just take in the busted bumper and tell them to make up a pint of the color on that

It's not quite that easy...you really have to find a place that knows what they are doing. The first time I had a repair done, the guy mixed the paint to exact factory specs and it didn't match. There are so many quirks to paints that you really need to find a good body shop.
Matching the paint on any car is hard especially the S2000 don't let them tell you that they can’t match it perfect unless they blend in to the rest of the car. When I bought my body kit that’s what a few shops told me but one shop did an excellent job with out having to blend. They tell you that because they make more money on labor and it is easer to do than matching.
