Correct me if i am wrong but i believe that the I.M. on the type s is just like the I.M. on the integra gsr I.M. With the dual primaries. But i have yet to really tear on down. This is something i heard when the car first came around. EDIT: I am wrong it is the base that has this style

there is a difference between the K20A2 and K20A IM. runners are wider, tappered. Runner outlets and TB inlet are the same.it breathes better. Is it worth it? I think so. if you have hondata..You cant even tell any differences by looking at 2 different intake manifolds(k20a2, k20a)

Exactly why I was asking, couldn't tell.

Outward casting ID differences:

K20A - PRC
K20A2 - PRB

Externally, they are nearly identical. The PRC intake runners are 3mm wider at the plenum and are consistent throughout, all the way to the flange. The PRB intake runners have a negative 3mm taper at the plenum and extends through the runners about midway. This restriction has been proven to limit top end performance by raising peak hp ~400rpms.

Close inspection of a PRC manifold leads us to believe that a PRB manifold can be ported to flow as well. Its up to you, do you want to spend $140 on a new manifold that is guaranteed to net you ~5hp peak gain. Or, would you spend for experimental portwork on the PRB manifold?
