Default Question about ls tranny?

I'm building an all motor b20. I have the stock ls tranny hooked up to the car. My question is, should I stay with the ls tranny our would another tranny benefit me more.

for high hp FI ls tranny is good cause of the longer gears, but for NA its not such a great tranny. even for my na b20z non vtec i was hitting better times with the gsr tranny than with the ls. you can sell your ls tranny for about 500 and buy a gsr tranny or b16 around 600-700.

I've heard people getting better gas mileage with an ITR/B16 tranny in their LSs because of the higher FD.

Has anyone heard of this?
