hi guys, i've got a problem. my 91 civic h/b is not wanting to idle correctly. and the check engine lights is not wanting to shut off. any ideas? need help asap, need to make a 4.5 hour drive on sunday. thanks a lot guys.

when was the last time you changed your timing belt/ cap and rotor?

 

time belt last year, cap and rotor,,,,,,,never. could that be it??

 

Code 9 is #1 cylinder position sensor. It's located in the distributor, so the easiest route would be to get a replacement distributor.
