NSX Calipers: A Worthy Upgrade?
Well, I was going to have my R4S pads installed next week, and then I thought, can I do another upgrade while I am at it? Since I run the stock rims on the track, the Brembo kit was ruled out a long time ago. After much thinking, I realized that the only upgrade I might consider would be NSX calipers.
My questions are: Do they produce a noticable difference in braking power? Do they fit like ITR calipers, and fit on 15 inch wheels? So, overall, should I stay with stock calipers, or do get the NSX ones? And if yes, where can I get them?

been there, done that, since have been sold and now using spoon calipers...
pros:
-straight bolt-on (needs longer mounting bolts from nsx or equivalent)
-able to use 28mm brake rotors (legend gs coupe) vs. stock itr 23mm
-2-piston design aids modulation
-greater mass and finned help heat dissaption
-can still use itr brake pads
-fits under stock 15" itr wheels
-cheap mod (compared to mega-dollar aluminum alternatives) and oem!
cons:
-heavy
-no difference in initial braking distances (although under heavy use it's dosen't succumb to heat as quickly as stock)
-very very rare
i probably missed a whole bunch of stuff. feel free to jump in and ad something...
if u do find a set make sure they are pre-98 because they change after that and i am not sure they will fit the itr... there is a good reason why the nsx went from 15" to 16" wheels....

I have a complete set. Calipers, brackets, bolts. Also include RM Racing pads which has about 65% pads left. Will also include a set of stock pads with ~80% meat left. These RM pads are very impressive. Excellent initial bite although we never tracked the car with that pad. If anyone is interested email me with reasonable offers. We upgraded it with big brembo brakes which are *incredible* at the track. It allowed me to stay with Taz Harvey because I can catch him underbraking.
