XenonDepot 6k HID pics, 56k friendly will take better ones w/ good camera!
Not so good pics but you get the idea.
This is my THIRD HID kit if I count the ones I got on my older integras - I been through a Catz 4500k, MisterJung 7000k, and now XD's Philips 6k.. and I must say this one by FAR beats them all in looks. The Catz might have been a tight brighter but most everybody out there wants a SLIGHT 'bling' in their HID kit and this one is it.
XenonDepot's shipping and Customer Service were top notch - I had some trouble with my HID kit and with the help of VTECorona I got it all working - I did send Steve @ XD an email out and he responded the following morning with instructions on how to test certain parts for failure.. top notch CS..

Will provide better pictures later on

Did something go wrong with the MisterJung kit? I think I remember seeing it on this car.

194 bulbs you need 3. Goto any auto shop. Kragen, autozone.. anything local
I put in amber bulbs and they look pretty cool. Also added a red cover to my clock so it looks like the Type-r clock and cluster at night. Also, did you aim those headlights?? When I put mine in, they were pointed right at the ground.

Go ahead and jump on the bandwagon saying it's trash. 6000k's not bad as some people say it is. Sure 7-10000k looks stupid but 6000k still retains a good amount of brightness with some color tint.
My friend put 6000k bulbs in his OEM HID Celica projectors and it's still bright as can be. Nice spread. Sure his may be/appear brighter than someone with non-HID housings since his are OEM, but they're still 6000k bulbs nonetheless.
Granted it's not as bright as 43-5000k, it's still good. So umm, yeah save it cause we've already heard it 500 times. Everyone knows the higher the kelvins the less lumens.

Bangwagon? LOL, I do my reading chief and I have reason based on personal knowledge\experiences. My friend has 6000k's in his integra and they probably put out less useable light than halogens.
If you want a bright and clean set of headlights then go with OEM, which is 4300. If you just want to have some tizight purple bling then go 6000k +.

NICE PICS MAN!!
Gotta love the GSR!!
Glad you got everything working. I thought it was a ground issue as well. Dont forget that your bulbs are brand new so they will also break in.
There is no question that the 4100k bulbs are brighter than the 6000k bulbs. There is approx 20% decrease in light output when comparing the 4100k to 6000k. One way or another though, the 6000k kit will still provide you with significantly more light than your stock halogens. The Philips Ultinon bulbs will still offer you a primarily white output. However, they will have an appealing purpuslish tinge.

yeah he's right - i got the 600k phillips and i want to switch to 4300k now. the color is like the ebay super blues i used to have (when i'm next to bmw's there light looks yellow). don't get the 6k's unless you just want bling

6000K less output than 4300K--YES but less than halogen--come on now--too much exaggeration

same car halogen on passenger side 6k on driver side.....6k hid was bright but didnt have the depth the halogen had. i know numerous people that have switched over to 4300k after their 6k kits colorshifted.
i'm plenty pleased with my 4300k

jump on the bandwagon and say 6000k's are trash...HAHAHAHAHA that statement was just too funny to ignore.
i knew nothing about HIDs before I got mine (XenonDepot is the best---For those who still want an HID kit, go there, they still sell them!---oh and Steve is definitely a great guy!!). i dont think im a guru when it comes to HIDS, however, i believe i have considerable knowledge when it comes to this topic.
rest assure, for those who know nothing of lumens vs kelvins, and the other technical jargon, but I can contest with VTEC corona that 6000k's are trash. oh sure, they've got the bling.... its the "halogen-designed" projectors in our DC integras that prevent 4300k kits from attaining that HID bling. really...if you've ever seen audo retrofitted projectors in an integra, you'd think you can match up to a bmw...and yes its really close.
i bet most people dont even know that 4300k bulbs become bluer overtime reaching anywhere from 5000-6000k in light output. thats true for any other kelvin. hence, 6000k bulbs will turn purple (they are blurpish already) and look more terrible especially in rainy or foggy weather. xenondepot sells Philips Ultinon 6000k bulbs...i have never seen them in person but i admit they look nice from pictures. But we all know pictures don't do justice. anyways, i could go on and on about this....
you want bling...dont give a **** about light output---go for 6000k kits, and make sure to stay away from korean based bulbs. misterjungs kits now have a chitty reputation. i only recommend either the ones manufactured by catz or philips bulbs.
if you want hid output like the ones offered by oe manufacturers, 4300k is the way to go. NOTE: you will think they are yellowish at first---this is normal since the bulbs don't reach its true natural color after until 100hrs or more of usage.
just my .02 folks and i appreciate if you've read this far!

I always wondered why the S2K, TL and TSX had that purplish tint to them.
Mine looks yellow compared to those and I got the 4300K
Stupid halogen projecters.

Well..
As far as 6k being garbage - I think it comes down to PREFERENCE. I bought a CATZ 4500K HID kit and although it WAS bright it just looked like BRIGHT halogen. Some people get HID's for some 'bling' whether ricey or not, it's just taste. Will I ever throw an aluminum wing on my car or a thousand stickers? Hell no. So call me a ricer if you think 6k is useless. I've stood next to BMW's and Infiniti's already with my lights and as far as I can tell my lights LOOK brighter on the ground with a slight blue hue..
I'm interested in this color shift.. when is it suppose to happen?
Anyways - big
to Steve at XD - This aftermarket HID kit is by far the best, whether 4300 or 6k on the market as far as I'm concerned.

After about 100Hrs of usage, bulbs will reach their natural color and continue to decrease in light output. You wont be able to tell unless you measure the lumens yourself and record it. For example like I mentioned, at first use 4300k may appear yellow, but then they will reach the natural color of white and become more blue overtime. So you can just imagine 6000k bulbs turn towards more on the purple side. No worries though, this will not happen until about near the end of the bulb's life span which is around 2000Hrs
.
As for you thinking yours looked better against BMWs...well, thats just you. If you ever retrofit better projectors in integras or have seen one in person---will make you realize the full potential of natural white light (which has that blue effect at different angles from head on).

I will admit that your 6000k output looks great in light output and color but who knows how long it will be like that before it colorshifts. The 6000k kits I've seen in person look cool looking directly at the headlight but when you look at the light output in front of the car, there is nothing. Do you have any nighttime shots of your headlights (pic of the actual headlights lit up) because your output looks the same as my 4300k kit almost.
