Help: Transmission advice again
I need your advice again guys.
This thread has aready been posted earlier. But since I am waiting for my flywheel before I install my tranny I once again stuck with a decision to make.
What would you guys do if you have had a 3rd gear syncro problem in a 2001 itr tranny.
Option 1. Get the syncro fixed for $250
Option2. Sell my current tranny and buy a brand new one from Acura for $500.
Option 3. Try swapping in my spare 97 jdm itr tranny.
***I have a buyer that is willing to pay $1200 for my tranny. A brand new one costs $1700 from the dealer (employee price)***

you got them. You are talking about the following options.
1. For $250, get the syncro fixed be a mechanic I wouldn't trust (unless you are doing this yourself)
or
2. Spend $500, and get a new diff, new syncros all around, etc. The only problem is the VIN tag wont be there (you have to leave it with the old one unless you take em apart and swap cases).
If it were me, I'd get the new one then swap cases and a real FD in
but that's just me.
