I am missing my knock sensor on my jdm b16a gen 1 (obd-0) and i was wondering which USDM knock sensor i need to use??? For instance- ive found one from a 97 integra gsr (obd-1)...is this the right spec. and will it plug up? Thanks, any input would be great.

Any knock sensor will work from the B series or even the 96+ EX. The OBD style doesn't matter, they are the same.

 

This the first gen. B16a have a knock sensor?

 

Yep, VTEC would not engage on my friends JDM B16A without it plugged up.

 

Or you can always do the chipped p28 which doesn't have a knock sensor.

 

where is the knock sensor located on this motor. I can only find two sensor's .. Thaey are above the oil filter a 2 wire sensor and a 1 wire sensor,..Maybe it is missing from the motor im not sure .

 

Its a green plug stickin out above the two sensors by the oil filter, its RIGHT up underneath the IM runner for the #3 cylinder
