LS/ with GSR head, BUT NO VTEC ????
Im Going to build an LS turbo motor, i know ls vtec is hard on a motor and not good for a daily so im just doing an ls, what if i got a GSR head because they flow better, and some VTEC killer cams, I bet i could get a bare gsr/ or even a higher flowing b16 head much cheaper, what do you think?

lol...says who?
A motor will only be as good or as crappy as its build.

who said vtec was bad for daily driving? a bare gsr or b16 head will be just as expensive also cause you still gonna have to get all the parts for the head like the rocker arms, cam caps, head bolts.valve cover,tb,intake manifold, fuel rail/injectors. just get a complete vtec head and you can run it on the street safe,
maybe its that you heard bad story about peeps that dont know how to build a ls/vtec but ls/vtec built right is just as safe as an ls non vtec.

lots of peopel say ls vtec is hard on a daily, i know i can build a good motor with my dad help ( he had a 65 chevelle catchin 10.21 in english town in 1971 and has build some pretty crazy ****) but its expensive, i figure a bare b16 head and some toda cams and a tyrbo would make osme serious numbers, but i understand if im gettin the head why not ls/vtec neway? i just need something reliable thats not gonna put me in thr poor house.

The people who question LS/vtec's reliability have either never built one or did a poor job building one.
Just like any high performance motor, it requires a little more attention than the average car.
Since you are building the motor, don't take any short cuts, don't be sloppy, do your homework and keep up with maintainance and there's no reason why it shouldn't last you a very long time.

also if your not sure on something when your doing your build
ask away all you want on honda-tech . you might get some answers like
search dude, but someone will help you out eventually.

in my dads shop a Turbo/ls/vtec motor came in, in a 4 door integra built by a kid who said he was really good, the motor didnt last long at all, but that was because he didnt put a filter on the turbo, bent the fins on that, and had a bad waste gate which blew the motor, even before the motor blew, it was very fast, but had it share of problems, i havent really seen a an ls vtec motor that didnt leak or that didnt last for a long time. Ive only seen a few, but i know the TODA vtec killer cams are awesome, and the vtec heads flow better, why wouldnt it work if i put vtec killer in the head, because i wouldnt have any return holes, or have blocked the holes for the ls vtec.
