I wanna start building a B20 vtec for 1993 DA. Which head and why is the best to use in a B20 vtec conversion.

i never here anything good about frakenstein motors, i suggest an OBD1 B18C1, and if you really want the 2.0l, go for a stroker kit. i dont even know if i would do that, but then you mess with the Rod/Stroke ratio, and im not a genius on this part, but i think if that ratio gets bigger, you cant safly rev as high, it puts too much pressure on the sides of the cylinder walls. i thought about doing the B20Vtec before, but the stock cylinder sleeves on the B20 block suck too, you would probably want to think about getting the block sleeved just to be safe if your looking to push alot of horsepower out of it. i would just buy a motor that is allready VTEC, and not make your own.

i have heard the b16 head has slightly better flow than a b18c head. but if you get a b18c head at a better price, use it, I know it couldn't make that much of a difference. good luck with the b20!

ive seen lsvtecs with b16 and gsr head and the gsr head made more power. i would assume it would be the same with b20vtec. here is the link for the dynoplot http://www.importreview.com/re....html

SEARCH. And if you do it right LS/CRV/VTEC engines are the best honda engine combos period. But just slapping the head on is not doing it right.
