d15b distributor problems

Default d15b distributor problems

i did my own wirreing but i got code 4 crank angle sensor is i chane my distributor will i get rid of that code

im taking it you did a mpfi swap, 2 of the wires you cut are for the crank angle sensor, it's not in the dizzy, i had the same problem and i searched areoud for the wiring diagrams for my car and found that 2 of the wires you cut actuall need to be reconnected. as for the diagrams i cant help you now, i'll try to find them later
edit:dizzy has a cyl. position sensor, thte block has a crank angle sensor (this is to clear up confusion)

again assuming a MPFI swap, Did you use shielded wires?? I dind't at first and always had a CEL, re ran shielded when doing the motor swap and everythign went away so i'd start there.

code 4 = crank angle sensor, which is in the distributor
code 9 = cylinder position sensor, which is also in the distributor for SOHC MPFI engines - for DOHC ZC engine, it is on the end of the exhaust camshaft
for DPFI to MPFI swap the crank angle sensor wires are not changed - if you are getting code 4, you either have a bad distributor or your camshaft timing is not correct
