I think that people were just arguing back and forth.

if you want a general idea on how hard that is look up a h22 swap into a 4th gen, then add on all this **** you have to go through for a K series in a 5th gen+

I've started doing the prelimenary work on our bolt in kit for the EF. It's going to be an interesting kit. There are a lot of small details that will require some neat solutions.

What will the harnesses cost? Will this make the K20 into an Eg, plug and play for the wiring?

We need a FAQ on the K series into Eg/Ek/Ef, etc......

There are tons of questions people ask about this swap. Why not compile a FAQ?

I read through some of the HUGE 26 page thread. Too much bullshit in that thread. At the start of one of the 50 K series thread (this one would be fine) we need numbered questions in bold with answers below each Q.

We just gave the EK we built to Tuner Performance Reports for a writeup and article. The stock dash was still in the car and all the gauges are working properly. The harness I built for that car interfaces with all the EK plugs so there is no cutting. It's the model for the 99-00 EK, EG, DC and EF harensses. The only difference will be the interface between the ECU plugs and the Data Link Connector. The 96-98 EK has a body plug instead to the cabin harness and of course has a DLC.

The K20A is taller than the B-series. The EG and DC I am building right now will have even taller K24s in them. I'll let you know if there any special considerations. As for the EF, it has even less room for the taller engine. I imagine a Fiber Images SiR style hood or equivalent would be a good idea.

hey Brian,
I was told that to swap a K20A2 into a DC, i could use a radiator from a 92-95 Civic, and use 99 GSR hoses. I want A/C to be retained on the car with the swap, can i just use the stock DC radiator? If i can, what hoses should i use with it?
By the way, im not sure if it really matters, but the questions are for a 94-95 Integra.

What up man ...if you want to use a full size radiator you need to get an RSX one and make the brackets . You cannot use the GSR radiator because of the hose outlets would interfere with the intake manifold

Thanks K20EG,
Should i use the RSX rad. or a 2002 Civic Si rad. like i was supposed to use in my 7th gen.?
By brackets, you just mean the brackets to hold the actual rad. in place? Do you think the pegs on the bottom of the radiator will line up with the holes that are already there from the stock rad.?

Wassup ..the brackets are going to have to be custom placed ...however you can use the existing upper brackets off like a Gsr radiator

So are you saying that the taller K24 engines will actually fit under the hood of the civic EG and the integra DC2? What would be the main advantages of this over just a K20? how much more power do you think we can make then with the 2.0L engines? and also what are the weight differences?

im just trying to see if the 2.4L swap would be better for me or not...

the big advantage with the 2.4L is torque.
With the RSX radiator, can i use the stock fans? Or do i have to get slim-fans to make it fit?
Thanks again K20EG, you have been a huge help!

No I'm saying I'm putting a K24 in my EG and my DC2. We need to know what the possible problems are so that we can offer a superior product.

More torque, better driveability. There is no replacement for displacement.

Minimal, I'm guessing less than 30lbs.

If your going to leave the engine stock, get a K20A or A2. If your gonna build it or boost it, do a K24.

Having driven boosted and NA k20s and K24s, I'd say yes it's worth it.
