registered skylines
wanted 2 know of any places online that sell skylines cheaper than motorex,am considering selling my integra in a few months and wanna look around...4 now.
You may be able to find a skyline cheaper from someone who has already purchased and legalized the car, but basically Motorex is the only registered importer of skylines, meaning that right now if anyone wants to legalize a skyline they must go through Motorex. I think there are one or two other companies that sell skylines in America, but even they use Motorex to legalize the cars, so the prices are pretty much the same as motorex. You can check ebay occasionally you can find them listed but for the most part you will still be paying 20K+

well your half right, motorex is not the only company that can legally import skylines or other jdm cars. other companies that are registered can import them. but motorex is the only company in the states that can make them legal to drive.
and do not go through omega<<<< they do not provide all the documents inorder for you to get dmv papers. and your car will be stuck in the container which you will have to pay everyday it sits there... do not go through omega.... if you want it done the quickest and without any hang ups motorex is as of now the only way to go. they will do everything.<< how much power does motorex have?? they will only make their own sold skyline legal.. you can not buy one and then take it to them to get legal.. they will not do it for you... so basically go through motorex...now thats power....props for them doing it right the first time..

correct me if I am wrong but the only thing Motorex owns is the crash test or whatever papers the DOT needs to basically prove they put the R and D into producing a Skyline that is legal to USDM specualtions. Now they could A-sell this information to others so they to can produce Skyline's or B-someone else can come along with their own tests and ways of doing things and import Skyline's as well. I just have to say with a market like Skyline's I don't see many more companies stepping up. I mean, we have the Supra here.

There are others, but these 3 are the most popular. All your questions have been answered time and time again in threads on these boards. They are where I gleaned all of my knowledge.
In a nutshell though, your only legal option in purchasing a Skyline at this point in time is to buy one directly from Motorex, or buy one that was previously purchased from Motorex. There is no such thing as a cheap skyline. The least expensive example of a legal Skyline GT-R that you will find is probably in the neighborhood of $28k+ USD.
P.S. Stay far, far, far away from Omega Skylines, Fuel Imports, Speed 53, and any other company that won't provide you with the VIN of a Skyline they have "legalized" for you to call NHTSA and EPA to verify that it's legit.
