Default for all those with jdm front ends

i decided to keep the teg and put on a jdm front end. my question to those who have done it is this. do u still use the original headlight switches to turn on the headlights and high beams. also, is there a separate switch for the fog lights or do they come on with the regular headlights. does the wiring for the headlights wire straight up or are there any special modifications that need to be done. one last thing, i was planning on repainting the whole car and shave the emblems, wing, and moldings. is it worth it or should i just paint the front end. i know its long but i just want to get everything straight. tia.

I just got my conversion done last week. As far as head lights, do a search and you will find wiring diagrams for the headlights. I did a search and found it. The low bean is the only one you can still use since the JDM Headlights are 9006. It's all pretty easy once you start doing it.If you dont have factory fog lights in your car you are going to have to get the wireharness from the Acura and a switch.

Hope that helps

did u do the install yourself? if you did, how hard was it? did u repaint the whole car or the the front end? im concerned that painting only the front end that it wont match the rest of the car.

if you can find a good body shop only repainting the front end is necessary.
my body man has done some amazing work for me, i screwed up the whole driver side and he smoothed the dents and matched the paint perfectly! to bad he retired....

yeah I installed the front end myself well with the help of my friend who welds.
Go to this link it shows how to install it. Thanks to Mase who put it up.

As far as wiring the side markers you will wire it to the side light off the blinker and the blinker to the blinker on the new lights. wiring the city light and high beams is pretty easy as well. If you do a search you should be able to find a diagram, I found it to reference mines.

You still wire it to the same factory switch on the steering column but the fog you will need an additional relay and switch. I used the USDM OEM switch in the center consoul.
