Default What is a code 7 for 4WS ecu on a 93?

I retrieved a code from my 4WS ecu and its a code 7. I got 7slow flashes followed by like 12 quick ones. So i'm assuming its a code 7 can anyone tell me what it is?

Lone Luder, .. He said his 4WS is throwing a code, not a CEL. TPS isn't really a part of the 4ws system last I checked.

Verify the code and I'll checkup in my Helms tonight. I'm going nuts studying the 4ws system because mine isn't working right and I've got a couple of parts on order to fix it.

give some more info, when did you get the code, are the wheels locked forward ok, alignmente good ??

Is it on solid or just came on then went off ?

Ok to clear things up.

My 4WS light comes on once in a while. When i disconnect the battery it goes off. When my 4WS light comes on the wheels do lock up.

I was checking my CEL and noticed that my 4WS ECU and my Engine ECU are the same harness. When i ran my CEL my 4WS light also flashed.

Now the 4WS light had a a quick flash indicating it was going to read out a code. 5 seconds later i get 7 long flashes and like 10 or 12 quick ones that were so fast I couldent really see it, then it would reapeat with 7 long flashes and then the 10 or 12 quick flashes. I read that the really quick flashes that last like 3 or 4 second means that its the end of the codes stored in the ECU memory. So this must mean code 7.

Ok now this MUST clear it up!

What year is your car ???

My car has 2 service connectors behind the center console by the gas pedal that I pull out .. one is blue one is white .. i dont remember which is which but one is for 4ws , the other is for the ECU CEL code.

If they are combined and this is a 4gen you got something really wierd with your car and I say check the dealership to get the code.

I checked the iceforge honda prelude service manual (i dont have the site offhand) but it said somethin about the 4ws unit being your code...

what are the other symptoms of your cars steering or are there none?

AndyD, how'd you make out with yours??

93 SI, yes i do have 2 connectors ones a 3pin closest to the gas petal and a 2 pin on the right of it. The 3 pin has a black wire with red stripe, and White wire with blue stripe, and some other one.

With the 3 pin harness what 2 wires to i ground out?
