Hmm... Project Potential?
Hello fellow Honda-Techers:
I come before you as a hardcore Integra guy faced with what may be a minor miracle, and I need some opinions/ideas. I have the chance to pick up an 88 CRX Si running a TURBOED B18C1/Apexi SAFC/BOV/custom manifold for $3200 Canadian (about $2400 US). This car also has some other toys (shocks/springs, rims, exhaust, etc, the standard goodies), and I'm very tempted to pick it up for one of several things:
1) An engine swap with my 1997 Integra LS, then sell the B18B'ed CRX.
2) A new autocross project (means I can't play with my Teg for a while
)
3) Parting the whole thing out and returning the CRX to stock for my wife.
The only drawbacks are that I don't know much about EF's, and I don't know how well this thing runs. The guy claims there are only 60k km's on the engine/turbo, but what else should I look for in terms of things that might go wrong with an 88 CRX? Also, does anyone have any idea what the parts are worth or what my above ideas might cost?
Keep in mind, if all goes as planned, H-T'ers will have first crack at all the goodies! Which I will sell at probably half the used market cost (just to get rid of them)
