Someone told me a long time ago about a company that makes a rear crossmember for a crx, it was like 8lbs lighter than stock or something like that. The crossmember that the steering rack is mounted to. If anyone has any idea, let me know, im quite interested, also if you got pics, postem.

It was sold (made?) by Area51 a few years ago. Their old page used to show it, the new page doesn't: http://area51fab.com/ Not sure if they still make it, but you can try and contact them. I believe it was in the $850-900 range.

 

wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to lose 8 pounds in the driver. A lot of us could stand to lose that and more. and it wouldn't be cheap for just 8 lbs.
