Silverstar for EP3
I've recently installed Silverstar bulbs into my EP3 and I can't really tell the difference. It's just white beam instead of amber. Ads indicate it's significantly brighter...what do you guys think?

They are not cheap. But for the light and the technology behind HID bulbs They are worth every penny. I like it that all the new Accords and Civics have separate low and high beam bulbs. It makes it easier to put HID's in them. If you ever get the chance to drive behind a set go-4-it. they make your eyes relax and you see better. Until then aftermarket high wattage bulbs are worthless. Besides they always seem to fail a lot.
Also yes as of 08-15-03 it is illegal for a company to sell an aftermarket HID kit in the United States. (Its our own fault)
http://www.xenondeppot.com can still sell them B/C they are in Canada. I got mine like 1 week before that restriction. But I ended up saving @50.00 on the kit.

GK and I are both running the Silverstars. It looks a lot better than the dull stock lighting. Now I need to replace the dull wedge bulbs as parking lights.

The only thing I can say is that the light inside the beam pattern does appear to be more usable. However, it does not extend beyond what the beam pattern of the OEM bulbs would be.
This is from my casual normal driving observation of having them in my EP3.
If you want HID, this is certainly not a cheap substitute for them.

Actually, Silverstars *ARE* worth it.
It is proven that it pumps out way more lights than your stock bulbs (up to 50% more lumens), which in result also kicks up the colour temperature to nearly 4000K. This is not done with some stupid colouring, but rather just more light.
I have a fleet of cars that have both HIDs and Silverstars (OEM & retro-fitted). HIDs are obviously by far the best, but if you are looking for something MUCH cheaper, easier to install, and 100% legal, then Silverstars is the best solution.

There is nothing worse than HIDs retrofitted into non HID reflector housings.
