Default OT: Type R Sighting... Travel Channel!

Tracy and I just made home made chicken pot pies.... we were eating and watching Travel Channel. They were doing a special on the Top 10 Truck Stops in the world. They went to Portland Oregon for #5. When they panned around the parking lot there was a CW ITR with a bra on a trailer....

Anyone here?

I was laughing my *** off.

mmmmm, pot pies.

Dammit I NEVER see other Type Rs, anywhere. I see more Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Lotus' (spelling?) than ITRs. Seriously.

I was bummin a ride home from work last week from my brother when we happened upon 2 get it 2 girls on the TSP (Northbound) in a PY that was slammed and bumpin with every crack on the parkway surface.

We cruised up to them to take a look and see if I knew them but probably looked like creep's or crook's or crip's or whatever since we weren't in my R. Oh well. Chick's in R's still get a from me!

just watched the replay of the show (im on the West Coast, and its still on 10pm-11pm) And i think you might have mistaken a older Mercedes Benz E-class for a ITR.

My father and I were watching it together, and i told him there might be a CW ITR in the backround, but when #5 came, the white car w/ a bra on a trailor was a E-class not a ITR.

Yep. Got that recipe?

/on-topic: Saw a stock black Hype R today at Crossroads in Cary with an out-of-state license plate. Was all black with white numbers (no letters, methinks) and a white triangle. Ideas? Late 20's looking guy driving it, not a stunna.

Is this a description of the plate Pat? If so, it is PA. They have some sort of special plate that looks like this. There is a guy that use to live off Glenwood that had the black plate and black ITR. Could have been him. He went to school at NCSU!

Chris - who knows Pat is excited about the Tangerine Bowl

Yes, that was my attempt at describing the plate. Sounds like a match - can't imagine many of those around here

Tangerine Bowl = A little disappointed, since I was hoping for a Gator repeat. Bygones - we're lucky to get Tangerine with our record.

How's the stook? You need to come by the pad so I can check it out

I went to NCSU and lived off of Avent Ferry. That was before I had an Arrr. Actually that was like 10 years ago. Man I'm getting old!

That's a black "D.A.R.E." plate from PA, several of the Pittsburgh ITR guys have them, I'd bet that was Brandon. Have you guys met him yet? He moved down there, but I'm not sure if he has completely made the switch to NC from PA yet... if the R is there with a PA plate still...

I remember a long time ago when teh Imacs first came out they were doing a piece for christmas on the sales of the computers, they interviewed a guy who was loading one into the back of his CW ITR, this was before I had mine so I did not pay much attention but I still though it was cool.
