Dang, I *literally* just started a project exactly like this!

Now I'm gonna feel like a follower instead of a leader

Looks very good though. Hopefully mine will turn out as nice. Do you have any pics with the panel off? I've been trying to figure out the best way to mount mine in there. Did you use aluminum?

So ****** sweet, but take that cover you removed and cut a piece out of it so all you see is the amp, then put the cover back on, it will make it look alot cleaner. To "dress" up the edge, since its gonna be cut with a fregin jigsaw, you could buy some computer "window" trim, its for those tricky *** computer with clear sides, well they just make a hole in there comp, and put a window, the edge makes it look nice.

what i will do is cut out a portion of the plastic panel, and then wrap it in grill cloth. So it can breathe. I never really wanted to show it off. but I'm sure the panel will come off every so often.
What I did to make it, is I got teh amp and cut out a peice of MDF to size, but left a inch frame around it. then I got some metal brackets and bent them accordingly, I will get pics with the panel when I pull it off again. Jonathan_EH if you have some ?'s feel free to PM me and I'll help you along the way

I got mine done today. I also mounted my 4 crossovers on the 'wall' too.

I'll try to get some pics of mine up soon

Nice!! I like the hidden amp. It would be easy to mod that cover and install a plexi window too. I wish I could have gone stealth with mine

I should know this since I have a hatch with rear speakers, but what about sourcing rear panels that have the speaker grills?

Looks good, BTW. I've been wondering where I should mount my amp when I get around to the install.

[QUOTE]

what do you mean by "sourcing"? i dont understand that.

Oh Yah and if anyone has the panels that were made with grill cloth on the, I guess they are the JDM ones, let me know I'd like to pick them up. Instead of making them myself

By sourcing I mean find. I just looked in my hatch and those panels by the rear seats have the grills for speakers. It might provide enough air circulation.

The JDM ones...the ones covered in cloth, I guess the Gathers system... are completely useless unless you have the rest of the rear JDM interior, as they aren't the same size/shape as the USDM counterpart.

I have the stock panels with the speaker opening. Maybe you'd like to trade?
