Default Rattle from Insturment Panel

One thing I have noticed is that when I hold it at 4000rpm or so I get a rattle sound from somewhere around my instrument panel.....

Any ideas? Anyone have this prob before?

Cheers

did you try hitting the dash? not hard, but enough to maybe stop it...

and are you sure its not coming from the loose change in the ashtray?

youre so violent vans, dashboards...Im surprised you didnt just try to PLOW through those deer on the way back from LRP

seriously though, pull out your cluster, and put some foam wrap around the harness wires and see if it still rattles.

I have the same thing but in my beater. It sounds like its coming from the gauge cluster itself. Is that even possible??

The rattle is definitley coming from somewhere behind the guages so the wiring or the screws holding the cluster might need some tightening...... its not a big deal just a little annoying.

Probably one of the three screws holding the cluster in.

a loose screw... i had this problem in a beater, thought it was from the cluster but ended up being a loose screw from below the steering wheel. weird. after that, it didn't rattle again
