When I took off the compressor housing, I didn't have that. ? Just metal to metal contact. Will I get boost leaks without that? And It's a brand new Garrett turbo too ...

 

I would put them back on just as precaution to prevent leaks or seepage of air from inside the compressor housing

its the gasket seal for the compressor hosing. put it in there for air leaks

 

Man, I dont remember any of my turbos having that

 

mine doesn't have one either..

 

it seals the compressor from any leaks....

what i did since my turbo is like 15 years old and no one sells the gasket and it was all dried up, i just used the RTV liquid gasket maker and it works fine... just put a bit on and it'll seal good. hell if it seals the oil pan gasket, why not this?

 

My precision sc34 came w/ one.

 

I just don't understand why my Brand new Garrett didn't come with one. I guess I'll just put some sealant on it
