Default How to make piano look nicer

Well I have a 6 year old JDM spec Yamaha U3H hence the H is for only the newer made in Japan Yamaha Pianos. Well I was wondering what to clean it with. I clean the gold plated pedals with Blue Magic alloy/metal cleaner/polish. I was wondering what to clean the wood with and the white kets along with the Ebony black flat/sharp keys. I used pledge on the outside case of the Piano which left lots of residue and was too slippery and over spray was on the keys and when I did a scale my fingers slipped. What else can I use? Yamaha Piano cleaner is good but the near by stores are out of it.

I would never use anything on the wood itself. there is a common misconception that oiling wood is good. The wood is already dead, and oil only hurts it. Wax is the best thing for a finish, and yes you can use automotive polish and wax for this. Just make sure there is no [petrolium distilants in them

Is the green turtle wax bad? (CARNUBA) I also have the yellow #26 mothers/ meguiars wax in the garage.

Well, you want to make sure you have a finish on the instrument, a piano probably does, and you will polish it first with very fine paint polish, then use PURE carnuba wax, not liquid wax with carnuba in it.

Have you looked in the classifieds forum? There's a group buy on VIS carbon fiber piano covers.

Vis CF covers for the smaller piano's I have the largest up-right 52" it's feel is very similar to that of a baby grand though nothing beats the touch or a normal grand.

Just like I say young man, I'm an old man. I have been play guitar(and other strng instruments) for about 30 years and I never put anything on them, accept maybe once a year.
