Default preventation of thiefs - aladdin alarm, reliable?

Does anyone have good or bad experience with aladdin alarm? I like the function that it works like a pager within 1/4 miles, but wonder if anyone prefer anything better?

thanks,

i have a pager alarm called TRC also known as a the Crimestopper.. but it's a generic alarm with pager function that keeps me informed if my car is getting broken in to. I like it and it s worth it because knowing your car is being tampered with is better than not knowing and having a better alarm.. because you can do something about it before they still it .....

If you don't want your ITR stolen when you are out at the mall, movies, dinner, etc all you need to do is buy a beater. With a beater, you don't even have to worry about it.

Either way, if they want it, they'll get it. I'll never install an alarm in any of my cars again, not worth the money/time dealing with it. (IMO)
