looking at this on ebay...and seeing how the owner claims this R to be " the nicest LEGIT type R"...I see something clearly wrong with the pics...

Oh yeah, intake manifold is different.. If it is legit, check out the VIN plate on the block also..

says its female owend and that it was all stock and the new owner put the aftermarket parts on it

why the hell would you waste money on a car your going to sell?

Looks like an alarm to me.. But anyways, the motor is whats wrong with the picture. We can establish that. Feel sorry for whoever will buy this car.

I would stay its not a stolen recovery, If it was then they would not go thru the hassel of installing the cruise- Unless they saved that much money on the B16 and decided to put cruise

noob question: how can you tell if it is a b16 or b18 by looking at the valve cover or the head?

Car seems to be an R, just perhaps ITR head was taken. Cant be sure without seeing block stamp. I also do not think that is Cruise control, cruise looks a tad different...

 

that's a JDM vavle cover if that has anything to do with determining the status of this R.

whoa...19 posts!...yah..you guys are right..I knoticed the B16 manifold..and other misc. items that arent supposed to be on there...

Why people cant tell the truth about materialistic things..like a car...amazes me

 

If you guys notice the cluster, it doesn't have the immobilizer icon on it. All 00-01 integras come with factory immobilizer. Cluster isnt original. Most likely a 98-99 spec cluster. They're not telling you everything about the car.

 

Also the line is missing that runs from the valve cover to the intake,right before the throttle body.And I dont see a filter on the valve cover if they did replace it.

 

Is there a way to notify E-Bay about this, or is this type of **** normal? That sucks....

 

Yeah i look for new R's on ebay everyday at work and i found this one fishy too. Female owned possible, but no strut bar, aftermarket header, type r valve cover. Who would put such items on a car and then sell it. Thats called money in you wont get out. You always have to be careful when buying **** on ebay, you just never really know. Anybody can lie. There was one for sale just a couple of weeks ago that said it was female owned and completely stock. Well i guess the female owner forgot she bought clear corners and coilevers too.

 

I think one of you more knowlegable guys on here should call Javier's bluff. 786-286-5207 . And also, I think ebay might be interested in this. I think the owner knows what's going on, that's why he has it listed as a private auction. None of us can contact the bidders this way.
