are they painted to match the color of the car or are they black?

hmm, not too sure, my red 93 civic ex is black, but my purple 94 civic ex is painted, but it might've got painted by the previous owner, so ionno, anyone? free bump

 

if im not mistaken, 92-93 are black and 94-95 are painted...but im not totally sure on that...anyone else?

 

It's usually a crap shoot seeing as many of these cars are on their second paintjob. My 93 Si had black ones (since replaced with flat-blacked foglights and housings), but my brother's 92 VX had Captiva Blue vents before his foglamps.

 

My '92 CX came with them color matched and the center grille black.

 

yeah, my 92 si had black and my step father's 95 ex has them painted the same color and he's the first owner (nothing ever happened to the car)

You're correct. Any changes made to 5th gen civics occured in 94, like the bottom of the back bumper and the side vents on the front bumper being painted body color.

 

so 92-93 civic side vents on the front bumper are black and 94-95 are painted to match the color of the car?
