i just put JDM itr swap in my 00' LS...its idling at 1500-2000 rpm...why? i broke the TPS sensor puttin in the swap...and used one from a 99 Ex...would that make it idle high?

 

did you recalibrate it correctly?

 

if no CELs then
vaccum leak = high idle

 

throwin some codes-

7 TPS - throttle position sensor
10 IAT - intake air temperature sensor
54 CKF - crank fluctuation sensor

code 54 doesn't matter...JDM motors don't have CKF

why would 7 and 10 be throwing? and is that the reason for my high idle?

if i unplug the TPS sensor...the car doesn't change in idle...it should die..if that is unplugged...are all honda TPS sensors the same? i used one from a Civic Ex motor...also...where is the intake temp sensor? and what color wires should go to it?

 

well code 7 is either due to it not being calibrated or its bad. code 10 probably try cleaning it first, if that doesn't work replace it. those two are the reason for your high idle. code 54 wont make your car run any different then normal.

You need a multi-meter to measure the TPS voltage @ idle: It needs to be <.5v

So the act of recalibrating it is simply rotating the TPS to achieve this output voltage. If you don't have a multi-meter, your SOL.

 

can't i just rotate it till the car idles right?
