Default Cigarette Lighter/DC Outlet

Hey all, I've got a problem I'm hoping yall can help me with. I searched the archives for this topic but couldnt find any w/ this specific problem.

A friend of mine went to take their cell phone charger cord out of the cigarette lighter and it pulled all the way out. Not just the silver lining, but the whole cigarette lighter. From what I can tell, it is threaded at the back and has a nut of some sort that has just gotten loose. Since this happened it only works sporadically; I'm guessing this is because its no longer grounded...must have went through a grommet of some sort that grounded it before it became disconnected.

Does anyone know if this is how it is setup in a 97 Accord? And if thats the case, how do I get to it to tighten it back up? I sure hope I dont have to take the dash apart...looks like a serious pain in the patooty.

BTW, I've been lurking on here for a couple months...really get a kick outta the kills section and lots of helpful info in here for my Accord.

Default Re: Cigarette Lighter/DC Outlet (FindBosco)

I found this ( http://installdr.com/InstallDo...7.pdf ) tutorial for removing the radio in another thread...I should be able to get to it w/ the info in there.

Anyone know if it is held in there w/ a nut before I go and tear it apart?
