help with bass blocking...
dont know much about audio stuff, but i need some help with setting up my system...
i have alpine type R component set in the fronts, 6.5s and 6.5 co-ax's in the back...theyre all run off a RF 550x4 amp, originally i had 2 subs back there powered off of another amp and i had the shop that installed everything set it up so the speakers recieved no bass...i imagine this was through the crossovers in the front, pictured here...
and through what i think is bassblockers for the back...
im just trying to figure out how to reset the crossovers and the bassblockers so that i can get bass outta those speakers, also will my amp need additional tuning to put out bass...

Those crossovers there do not highpass the comps or the co-ax's - all they do is split between the mid and the tweeter - nothing else.
You must go to the amplifier and either reduce the high pass point, or turn the crossover all together.
I suggest you download the manual for your amplifier from the MFG and work from there. Also make sure that there is no crossover set on your headunit.
I would highly suggest that you keep some kind of crossover on those speakers (around 50Hz) to keep them from bottoming them out...

If your amp has a switch that has something like HP/full/LP underneath it then put all four speakers on full and you should be fine but I agree with atleast a 50hz filter to keep from going lower then the speakers can handle. So you could set the switch to HP and turn the crossover point down, usually the lowest an amp goes is 20hz, so just turn the **** a little above that and be set.
