New MPG record?
Ok, I know most of you probably don't care how much mileage per gallon you get.
I know most of you are probably going to whine and bitch and say, hey didn't you already make a thread about this already?
Well yes, I did. I don't care.
I'm just so happy of what the car accomplished on a recent road trip to South Carolina.
On the drive up, we averaged 29MPG.
On the drive down, well you do the math. 172 miles on 4.978 gallons. Roughly 34.55 MPG!!!!!
Well before you start flaming and saying, well my stock ITR can do that. Keep in mind that this is with Toda VTEC Killers and Individual Throttle Bodies!
Keep in mind also that I get an average of 22-24mpg in the city.
I'm so happy.

Tuning Tuning Tuning and more Tuning
when will people ever freaking realize that its important to get your pos car tuned. they complain about their own setup, and want big *** cams or someother bandwagon part. yet their damn car is still untuned running maybe a vafc
good results len
seems like P1 took care of you good.

I knew someone was gonna ask.
Average speed was 75mph. We occasionally did around 85mph passing people.

Stock 98 ITR, averaged 35.3 for 750 mile trip with one tank over 36. Average crusing speed 65 mph (coming back from SCCA nats two years ago). In daily driving, I average ~30mpg traveling at ~80mph average speed.
Mileage in the ITR is directly dependent to speed. At 60-65 mph you can get 35mpg all day long, but who ever cruises that slow for long periods~

I can drive to Tampa 3.5 hours away, 230ish miles and still have a half tank left.
btw=how long does the gas light stay on for?

I believe the reserve is 3 gallons. Ever noticed why even at an empty tank you can only fill up 10-11 gallons when the gas tank is rated at 13gallons.

Most I've ever put in my tank is 46,5 liters (12 gallons) and then it was getting fuel starved doing 50 km/h up a hill
Gas light comes on with 8-9 liters on tank, if I fill her up right after light comes on and stays on it takes 41-42 liters.

Ah, I remember a time when I didn't have my wallet, just my license and no cash or money on me, and I had to make it home with the light on. I kept on looking at that damn light every second. I was so paranoid. Gnarly
