I just picked up a CF hood yesterday VIS one looks very good except... when i was moving it into my house one of the edges scrap the concrete a lil and now the the clear coat on the lil edge came off. I was wondering if i just leave it as is move will fall off? Should I add some super glue to it to keep it from getting worse? I msut say the VIS CF hood is really well made the clear coat is very very thick. almost like 1/4 inch

 

i would do something to seal it up... superglue as you mentioned would leave a filmy residue... so paint, or even more clear coat... just tape off the corner, and you should be ok... hopefully it is not a visible corner, and just the one by the windshield.

 

yah its at one of the edges by tth windshield hm... trying to think of something that is clear and that won't leave any weird colors after a while.. Anyone else? =O

hm.. just tape it off and then spray with clear coat on the lil tiny corner?

 

It is not a clear coat more like a resine/clear poxy. you can use the same stuff to repair a surf board on it.
