I just recently installed a Fields Vtec controller. wired up everything right. vtec kicks in at 5200. eveyrthing works fine. But if i hit vtec in 4th or 5th the CEL comes on for a code 21. Vtec spool solenoid i believe. but if i shut my car off and turn it back on the CEL goes back off. Y is this happening?

 

i take it this is in the 92 cx w/ b16 block/itr head... what ecu are you running? P28? stock or chipped? have you triple-checked the wiring?

 

it didnt do this before you did the install? recheck yourself man!

 

Checked all the wiring.. all connections are made and very secure. everything is electric taped to prevent them from touching each other. Im running a Chipped P28
