Default Anyone here have a Toda Flywheel?

As you know i have a really modded all motor B16a. The only thing i think it needs now is a LSD and Flywheel. So I ordered a Toda racing flywheel. Its 9lbs. I dont know how much the stock b-series flywheels are. I had the Toda in my s2000 and loved it soo much in there as far as drivability and such that i went with it again here. Now i know im really going to feel a difference in this car because the stock flywheel is way heavier than the stock S2000 on which is 12lbs. If anyone has one here let me know how you like it and what to expect. I already have a good clutch ACT extreme that only a year old. Thanks in advanced for the help. cheers

you'll love it. might have to turn your idle up a bit though. tends to bog when you stop at a light etc.

I have the Toda FW and Exedy clutch in my 99 Si. Absolutely no complaints here, easy as hell to drive.

I do get a little bit of chatter when the car is cold. I just have to gently let off of the clutch to avoid it.

As for mods:
B16a2
00 ITR cams, Port flow inners, ITR outers, ITR IM, CTR TB, ITR airbox modded for CA, JDM ITR Header, Spoon Ventuli Plate, Kenji chipped P28, Fields VTEC/Fuel controller, MSD Digital 6, Blaster coil, AEM FPR and filter, manual steering rack, Toda flywheel, Exedy clutch.

I am just waiting for a few days off to install my other ITR mani that has direct port nitrous setup.

i never noticed any bogging issues with the Toda flywheels. not on my car or any of the lighter flywheeled equipped cars i have driven. basically, the main benefit of having a lighter flywheel is it allows better rev matching (ie heel toe).

here are a few pics from a few years ago when i had an issue about the toda being advertised as 8.5 lbs. after a few phonecalls, AKH finally changed the weight on their website.

a stock itr flywheel with 40k for comparison

well, from what i understand, the b18c1 and b16 flywheels are a tad heavier, but how much, i do not know. my 99 si has 110,000 miles on it, and it will be due for a clutch soon. i will weigh the flywheels when that time comes, but till then....
