Took my car to Boston tonight...it's been several months since my car has seen Boston streets...and boom...right in from of Fleming's on Stuart St (I figure there are a ton of people and cars around there no one would be that crazy.) I guess I was wrong because I come back about 2 hours later and my hood was pops and all my wires are pulls out from under the dash. My alarm wires under the dash are cut up...the even pulled and cut my Piaa wires. I don't even know how they got into the car this time. I already disabled the power door lock switchs. But none the less they got in. I don't know what else to do for protection. I have an alarm...this got the attention of a guy that ran them off...got his info for the insurance. Lock switches are disabled. Do I have to weld my windows shut and all the other entry ways into the car to keep it safe...this sucks...

What the **** is wrong with people...at a time when the country is in a serious situation you have to make it worse for someone else. Can't they ****** work and buy one themselves. Theives should be shot. If the person is lurking around here...watch your back bitch...next time if I see you...you won't be looking back at me for to long.

Anyways...now I'm trying to figure out if I want to keep the car now. This is the second time this year and I'm guessing it probably won't be the last. What do you guys think?? If I had the place and the $$ I'd get a beater...but I'm out of a job now. If it weren't for all the deductible I'm paying out I'd have some decent power mods...Anyways...this just sucks...

Oh yeah...guys in the Boston area...watch your cars...apparently someone wants one more then you do...

Glad the car is ok, I wouldnt park it out in the open like that, Try the parking garages that have security and get a good spot near them.
This is one of the reasons I wont park my car in Boston, or at movie theaters, and other certain places

Also You might want to get the AutoLock Pedal lock and a Club just to add to the work a would be thieve has to do and slow them down

 

Sorry to hear about that. I know how you feel though, my last car was broken into twice in a month and a half. It's becomming such a problem now.

This is why I'm selling my ITR... I've had nicer cars in the past and NEVER had to worry about them like my R!!! My emblems were jacked not even 24hrs. after buying the car! I think I have an ulcer the size of a cantalope from worrying about the R. I won't have to worry about people ******* with a GMC Typhoon... Pretty sad when you can't take your R anywhere except your garage!

Les, I hardly leave my car in the city unless it's at work and then it's at work, it's parked indoors where someone's always around it. Where I work, there's always people coming in saying their car got broken into or stolen and it's, I kid you not, 9/10 of the are Honda owners, with the majority of them being Integras. Your hood was popped and your security sytem brain was found under the dash cut up. Here are your first two problems.

 

Get a hoodlock, have the brain of your alarm moved somewhere else(trunk, door panels, underseat, etc... get a backup battery for your alarm incase they disconnect the car battery and get a car alarm that works with a pager.

sounds silly, but I have had an Idea for a long time about car security. (only 1/2 way serious...)

Connected to the alarm, you have sleeping gas sprays on the inside of the car and under the hood... when the alarm goes off, and the door is opened, it sprays off, knocking the A-Hole that is braking into your the **** out. I figure this is the ultimate... then you catch the bastards that did
$4,000 damage to your type R (they vandalized my spoiler, deak lid, bumper, pierced my rear quarter, skuffed up all the center caps, scrached up all 4 of my wheels, and put dents into both doors) And you can kick their asses!

and the Whole B18C5 is gone..
I was so pissed, then I woke up, run outside.. aah.. my baby still there...

sorry to hear that man. Makes me glad I never took my car into Boston. This Honda-stealing thing is getting way out of hand and I don't see it getting any better for G3 owners until people start stealing K20s.

 

Thanks for all the support guys. Brought it to the body shop to check out what was messed up...I'm glad to say only a few pieces of plastic and my alarm wires need to be replaced. That is the only bit of sunshine in my world at the moment. Hopefully it'll be less then my deductible so I won't have to shell out as much.

And I'm for anything to keep the theif in this state low...any ideas?? Any kind of group that we can build that is linked to law enforcement? Maybe I'll look into that...see what I can find out. Keeping theif down will lower out insurance rates in the long run...so we get to keep our cars and get low rates...it's a win win...

 

Heres a bit of advice, Dont remount the alarm in the same spot, Have a good shop do it and take their time and put it in a hard to get spot. To give you an Idea when they did my security system Installation charges were over $400 And that was getting a deal since I used to work there. It was about 2 days straight of labor
