Ride Height Q's??
yea i just had a quesiton for you crx owners.... i am leaning towards getting H&R springs for my car (gettin rid of the Skunk coils) and i was wondering how the ride is with both the Sport springs and the Race springs? also what kind of drop and ground clearance are you guys getting with either of the springs? dont want it to be too too low. pix would be nice too.. thanx!
No crx here but I have the H&R sports on my hatch. It rides awesome. Way better than stock and I never bottom out. Not quite as low as the race but it kills the gap (I also only have 14 in wheels) Here are a few pics so you can see what the drop is. This is also the 1st day I had them on.. they have settled a little bit since then.

I have some pics of my crx on sports i will upload later.
Ride is great.
I smack my exhaust on the ground at least once a month. And its back to the exhaust shop to have the threads retapped for new studs, just did it last week
My oem exhaust manifold sits about 2 inches from ground, so i have to take it really easy over uneven ground.

I just this past weekend installed my springs and shocks; H&R sports & tokico blues. For some reason all four corners are at slightly different heights. I think it is because of the large, flat rubber "bushing" that sits between the top of the spring and the top mounting plate thingamabob. I think it has all been settling to the correct location, and ill try and get a digi cam to grab pics.
All in al, I think I am slightly disappointed with the drop that it gave. Yes it does have excellent ground clearance, and there is no need for a camber kit, but I think if I didn't have to use the tokico blues, I would have gotten the H&R Race springs for the same price.
BTW, in the end I should have about 2-2 1/2 fingers between the tire and fender well. Thats with 195-50-15s.

H&R sport springs + KYB GR'2 = awesome street setup/ bang for buck.
I actually got my springs from a guy who wanted more of a drop, 20 bucks. Used for a month or 2. Hehe, I heard from him later, he said he didn't like the H&R race springs.
