well i was doin a bit of a tune up heres what i did: i changed the air filter
gas pump
plugs/wires/cap and rotor
upper and lower radiator hoses
flushed the radiator fluid
changed the oil
and i also steamed cleaned the engine

all the parts cost me about 112 dollars

i figure i saved my self a good 400-500 dollars.
im gonna start the body work 2maro.

Welcome to honda-tech Ben.

Dont worry, a lil' TLC and hard work will get that hatch up to shape. I think of it as spending "quality time" with the car. The uglier they look... the more beautiful they can become.

Welcome to honda-tech - there are some really informed/experienced people here (and some idiots too, but let's focus on the positive )

Well first off, welcome to H-T.

2nd, there is allot of rust on the car and coming down 800 is not bad at all, I think that's just because he knew he would not get 1800.00 for it. It is a good project car.

That's good that you are doing the work yourself. None the less, welcome and keep us posted on what's going on with the car.

What are your plans for the car if any, Auto cross, Road Race, Show Karr, daily driver and you are not doing anything to it except restoring it back to stock?

well i started sanding my car down, manly the driverside door and the hood where the bra was the hood wasnt rusted just the paint was all slit open and such. i am gonna patch the hole by the wheel this weekend. and there really isnt that much rust, it shaved off real fast with this drill pad i have. there really isnt any other rust now besides by the wheel. i am gonna bonda the hole and smooth out the door and primer it and take it into get a frsh coat of paint.

i dont plan to really do anything to the car but get it back to stock condition. you would not belive how much of a differance just the basic tune-up i did my self did to the car's porformance.

i plan to install an intake this weekend. i also want to install a wingswest front bumper before i get it painted.

other than getting some bronze rims like these

there really isnt anything i have the money for right now. mabe ill get a cat back exhaust once my "stock" one blows out. ill just install some parts as they need replaced i sopose.
