NO!

you must use a type R or GSR ring gear and counter shaft

best thing to do

4.785 final drive with itr lsd....that will fit with no mods

any b series tranny will mount up to any b series engine...PERIOD....but depending on hydro or cable tranny equiped cars, you will want to get same for your car or contact HASPORT and they have kits that allow you do to reverse swaps..

true, but that doesn't mean the internals are interchangable

Exactly.

I planned to install the ITR LSD into my 00' SiR S4 tranny awhile ago. Found out that I need a big size 4.4 ring gear & counter shaft off from a GSR/CTR/ITR. Or it's not gonna fit into my tranny.

I thought that since I'm changing those parts already. Why not changing it to 4.785 gear set at the same time? So I decided to upgrade to 98spec 4.785 gear set after all. Except the ring gear, counter shaft, u also need a diff 1st gear with needle bearing & bearing collar.

um...
so the procedure of installing the ITR LSD into a SIR tranny, i will need the ITR LSD, final gear set, and counter shaft?
but i dun know if i have the hydro or cable tranny equipped...

so if my tranny is cable, then it is impossible to install the ITR LSD ?

it's a JDM B18C engine with a SIR or Del Sol tranny
i dun know..

the guy who do the swap for me told me that it is a SIR or Del Sol tranny...
i was planning to save some money on the swap, so i use the B16A2 tranny instead of the Type R tranny

but now i find out that it is kinda hard to drive since the wheels always spin and burn the tire when i step the gas panel all the way down.... and the turning is not so good....

that's sad...

wut about i move everything from the ITR tranny into my gear box?
are those gear box the same?

coz my friend's ITR's tranny has crack on it and the transmission oil is leaking
and he will change the new tranny...

so i can take everything from his crack tranny and change it to my tranny
does it work?

Ive got an CTR LSD in my B16A2 Del Sol. Works great. They had to swap some ring from a GSR to make it fit, but other than that it runs like a champ

Have you read the post at all? To get the ITR LSD to work in a SiR or Del Sol tranny you need

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Chad &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">you must use a type R or GSR ring gear and counter shaft

Or are you talking about a d-series tranny?

Why don't you just swap the trans ? Dump the SiR tranny and install the DC2 tranny... From what I understand, the SiR tranny has the same gearing as the DC2, the difference is the LSD. Right ?

swap the tranny case means it's like "changing the tranny's cover". Use the SiR tranny's "cover" and put that on to the DC2's tranny's "base".

Also maybe u have to adjust your driving a lil bit too? The tires will still spin if u step your gas pedal all the way down. It's just that both wheels will spin together after u got the LSD. Maybe try to be a accelerate or corner lil bit smoother.

I'm not a great driver either so don't mean to lecture u here.
