Mount bolt question(HCP/EF18 mounts)...
the HCP mount kit I got came with no bolts(not sure if it should have), no biggie I went to HAs site and got the bolt, nut and washer sizes from their directions....now I was wondering, can I just goto the hardware store and buy the necessary washers, bolts and lock nuts or are these a special type of strong bolts not like the ones at Home Depot?? don't see how thay could be much different right?
any help is much appreictaed....

With the HCP EF-18X mount kit, you just reuse your existing 14mm bolts and 17mm bolts for the mounts. No need to get any "special" bolts or washers unless you want to change out your existing bolts for brand new ones. The kit was designed so that you wouldn't need to use new/special parts, but to be able to reuse your stock Honda parts. Otherwise, you need to make sure you get the correct thread pitch & size..... like 14mm x 1.25 pitch

just for reference a bolt is a bolt. A grade 8 honda bolt will perform just as well as a grade 8 generic bolt from NAPA as long as you match length, pitch, diameter and shank length.
