just installed a skunk2 manifold on my jdm sohc vtec and one bolt that holds the iacv on is hitting my brake portioning valve on the firewall and causes harsh vibrations throughout the car when driven any help on how this can be fixed?

is the bolt rubbing when you are driving or just sitting there
you can get energy motor mount inserts to help the from not moving

 

both..... nahh theres gotta be a fix I called the skunk 2 hotline and they are closed...I need to drive my car help!!!

Or fill the lower mounts with windo-weld

help me I gotta drive this thing to school and work monday!!! I wonder why it doesnt fit right ...performs good ...but come on skunk2 whast the deal

 

try to put something in between the two until you get the mount inserts

 

some thing betweem them???? ....they are touching

 

final bump before I sleep on this.... no motor mounts will help... Im thinking this is a poor design I def. felt a difference though but the runners could of been made shorter and it would of fit great

The shaking I could deal with for a little its just where it rubs I dont wanna bow out a brake line or sumthing..(its touching the proportioner valve not a line but Im sure it causes flexing) anyhow Im just sitting home today and hoping for answers to roll in

I sort of pryed and massaged the proportioner out of the way so it ony vibrates in like the beggining of first when taking off

 

BTW Theres a noticable increase in power .....very quick revving my fellow sedan owner said (he has a GSR swap)

 

hmmmm still vibrates which =annoying called skunk2 they were like email chris from skunk2 and I did that no answer wowowow not impressed
