Default First times in the Type S

Well I got my car down the track last night. This was my first time ever runnin a car down the 1320. My first time up I red lighted without realizin it and ran a 18.1 @ 95...felt shitty but o well.

Second time I ran, I went right after they had cleaned up the track from a mustang breakin somethin, so I spun all the way through first on the gravel.

R/T .228
60' 2.793
330 7.175
1/8 10.507
mph 74.43
1000 13.317
1/4 15.690
MPH 94.97

Third time up was the best run. Raced a GSR.

R/T .458
60' 2.534
330 6.604
1/8 9.857
MPH 75.72
1000 12.630
1/4 14.979
MPH 95.86

Only mods are a Injen CAI. I was happy I broke into the 14s. I should be goin up next week sometime to give it another shot. Any suggestions on how I can approve?

god i love it when everybody has all the excuses in the book for bad runs but when its a solid run, they take the credit.

your 60' time is horrible. You should defitely practice on launching. Did you lower the pressure on your front tires??? Were you getting traction or spinning your tires? You should be in the mid 14.

Looking at your times, with a 2.5 60ft, you could get 14.6 with 2.2. Im sure of it. Im so sure you dont have to hit the track anymore cause thats the best time your car will pull intake.

I didn't lower the tire pressure at all. I was launchin at about 3500, with the clutch right before the point it engages. I got a little bit of wheel hop but not too bad.

i think you should try revving to 6000RPM when launching (you know.. get the car in the power range).. and feather the clutch till u get traction..
that should give u better times.

some1 correct me if i'm wrong.

Type S won't rev past 5500 stock in neutral.

Hey whats up man? Im from Lancaster, and that is a pretty good time.

My personal best at cecil was a 14.71, but that was when I first got the car, I didnt even get to run it once this year. My only mod was an intake but I had over 10 or 15 runs and 3 visits to the track befor i ran that.

This is the last fridy night they are open, gates open at 5, races start at 6 till around 10:30, 12$ to run all night. Then I think theres a couple test and tune saturdays left, gates open at 8 a.m races start at 9, they close around 4 p.m, 30$ to run all day.
