Default Prepping slicks?

Is there any procedure that needs to be done to "prep" a slick before actually racing on it?
thanks,
Jared

i dunno if i could put brake clean on some new slicks.. sounds like it could hurt the compound and cause more bad than good... maybe john at MH would have an answer for this question

Hi everybody and jared now listen up, here is what I would do.
Air the slicks up to 30-psi and then down to 10-psi this is what you call post inflate, what this will do for you is let the slick take a set and form it's shape, put the air pressure to what you want and run the slicks, Good Luck and thanks for listens.

That is cold. Its all relative. It is in the upper 60's right now here, kind of warm for November though.
