Default Fake Car Alarm how-to!!

I heard that there is a way to make a fake car alarm using a simple flashing LED hooked up to the car's battery. I also heard that there is a way to make the LED start flashing only after you have taken the key out from the ignition. This sounds like a cool idea to me and I was wondering if anyone had info on how to do it. THanks.

Actually, you can buy an LED flasher kit at radioshack for a few dollars. Also, its not worth the trouble to hook it up so that its controlled by the ignition. Just wire in a switch under the dash or something.

Why dont you get a real alarm? They work a little better

Just for the record, I don't really expect the fake alarm to scare car thiefs off ... maybe just the dumbasses who go around breaking my window to jack my stereo equipment. This has happened 3 times to date! What's kind of funny is that the first two times someone broke in, they were no doubt surprised to see and old *** sony pullout cd player which didn't even work right all the time!! Both times the person who broke in just left it halfway pulled out, hehe. I also wanted to do this mod as a sort of a joke/something to show my friends and laugh at.
