Default Pad that's "compatible" w/ the Carbotech XP 1108's?

I'm lookin' to replace my OE street pads since after I'd run a day with XP 1108's and put the OEs back on, they transfer a TON of pad material...the rotor surface is literally a couple mils higher where the OE pads crapped their crap. From what I've heard, the OEM pads are Rotex pads...dunno which compound though. I guess this would be more of a question for Matt, but does anyone have any experiences to share? I'd love to have the Bobcats since I'd know they are compatible, but they're $160 in my fitment.

Would getting a 2nd set of rotors be less expensive? 1 for the OE pads, 1 for the XP8s.

Edit: Yes, I know I can look it up since I work for a brake company and all, but I'm at home now (no ref books) not to mention I have no idea what car it is...

I've had good luck on all my friends cars, including mine, running axxis ultimates on the same set of rotors as cobalt VR pads, they would most likely work well with the carbotech's as well IMO..

They are cheap, last long, work well.. They do however dust a lot, but it easily comes off with a rag, even after rain..

We've actually recieved some feedback that Ultimates seem to be OK with Panther (whatever) on the same rotor. I haven't tested this yet to confirm, just 2nd hand info for now.

Ever figure out what was the cause of Tim's messy Stoptech WRX rotors? Improper bedding, material incompatibility between XP9 and Ultimates?

Good point about new rotors, Matt. Shoulda thought of that earlier. I could use a new pad though, since my OE pads are a pain in the **** to modulate.

I'm the idiot running the 2000 VW Passat 1.8T in HPDEs.
